User Reviews of the Zoom Multi-Effects Bass Guitar Pedal 506 II

Fun for a few hours but then it gets kinda boring. There
some cool preset effects on it but it's kinda difficult to
change your tone and volumes. And it all sounds a little
too transparant. Might be good for beginner who'd like to
figure out what kind of effect there are today and what
each effect does to your sound. But I wouldn't use it to
gig with.
Good Points: -A lot of preset effects
-Good for beginner noisians
Bad Points: -Switching to another certain effect might be a little
confused because you've really got to remember each
sound.

Pretty boring and in most places pointless pedal for bass and noise alike. Almost carbon copy of the guitar model but designed for bass. Really annoying drop outs and stops in between changes in channel and way too many settings never to be used. You can (with patience) make some pretty interesting custom sounds and the delays, phasers and sustains arent too bad but the distortions just sound really shoddy. Not of much use to noise makers at all.
Good Points: You can change sounds around quite a bit, and a few of the presets are quite good.
Bad Points: Gaps in sound, delay between changes, flimsy build and sounds cant be pushed far enough.

This was my original pedal. The first pedal I used. I did not like it after using many other effect pedals. Each effect was a little too digital, and there was no expression. I also tried using the zoom expression pedal attachment. But it didnt work as well as it did on the 506II. This is a good started bass pedal for somone who needs effects on there bass. I would give this thing a 5 out of 10. A great price for something that you use very little.
Good Points: A lot of effects, great for starters.
Bad Points: Plastic, Mine shorted out so I upgraded to the BFX-708 (awesome).
