User Reviews of the Electro Harmonix Micro Stereo Pulsar

First off, I haven't tried the pedal in the way that the previous reviewer suggested with the Pulsar before two separate chains of effects.
I tried the pedal after my sound sources and effects. I thought the stereo panning worked well. However, I found it difficult to find satisfactorily slow rates. The light that follows the rate seemed to go from a slow blink to a manic pulse almost immediately.
Also, the detuned sound mentioned by an earlier reviewer is extremely noticeable with clean signals and sounds pretty tinny.
That said, the pedal is a great value for running a mono sound source in stereo. (It's about half the price of most stereo delay pedals.) Also, it seems to be a much better pedal for chaotic, harsher noise than for drones.
Good Points: -handles fast panning very well
-good value
-can create chaotic masses of sound
Bad Points: -hard to dial in medium paced panning
-detuned sound on extremely fast settings

This thing is a basic tool that everyone should have.
If you think about it creatively, it's not just a
tremolo, it's an automated routing tool.
Try running the two ouputs into different effects; it's
a signal splitter, until you engage it, then it switches
back and forth between the two effects at whatever
rate and waveshape you choose.
Good Points: Built solid; much MUCH better form factor than the old
pulsar! More stuff in much less space. Speed gets
extremely fast and extremely slow.
Bad Points: It would be nice if the depth was a little more extreme;
it doesn't always seem to get a full cutoff.

I'm always scepticle about EHX pedals..they seem to be a hit and miss company.
When I first plugged this guy in the rate was set very high and the shape was way steep so I was thrown off at first.
Once I got things dialed in to a more modest trem it sounded very clear.
The depth makes great use of your input whether on bass for guitar.
The shape (including the shape selector; square or triangle) is a really cool tool to have. You can go from big airy "pulses" to very tight and precise beats. AND it's stereo, i didnt play with that part too much but having it is always a plus
A very cool trem pedal to own
Good Points: Huge range of pulses
The wave selector is wicked cool
The LED blinks with the rate knob
Bad Points: The only weird thing is when the rate is turned up it almost sounds as though it detunes your notes..but a little weirdness we can live with
