- Cool little box. Smaller than I thought it would be, but packs a punch. So far I've tried it with the tacks that came with it, brown rice, ball bearings, and currently some rice and chunks of glass. I like using with an smashbox pedal going into delay. That way I can switch from all out harsh to the more acoustic sounds with the twist of a knob.
- Good Points: Cheap, built well, wide variety of sounds depending what you put in it, made by a noise legend!
- Bad Points: With most of my pedals I get a BAD ground hum when just holding the box and not shaking it. So if you plan on using it live this could be a real problem. Honestly it's bad enough to stop me from using it as much as I would otherwise. For it's worth it though to use in certain settings.

- The noise maraca....yep...brilliant. I love the feedbacking madness this thing makes. It's killer when you are shaking it, walls of sizzling noise...but fuck..... stop moving it and this harsh screech comes out of the amp. I love this thing. Also it is incredible for vocals, screaming into the Crank in a box makes the most horrendous noise. bucks well spent( that's including the shippingand exchange) get one you will love it more than a finger in the ass!!!!
- Good Points: Harsh hateful noise seems to be built to last Vocals are insane through this thing THE FEEDBACK!!!!!!!!! Cheap!!!
- Bad Points: the jack in mine doesn't hold the cord worth a shit. it falls out the second you let go of it. My dreams of flogging the audience with the crank in a box were crushed. Other than that not a single thing, you should get one they kick ass!!!!!!!!

- This thing is great! I run it through my effects and it sounds very cool. Its very cheap and easy to use, and many different ways to use it. When these go on Noiseguide, BUY IT!

- This is a great sound source. It's surprising the number of different tones you can generate with it. A hard shake produces a more unified, tighter percussive sound while turning the box over more gently produces a scattered crunching sound. This box works wonderfully through a delay, which allows you to keep a rhythm going while freeing your hands to work with other pedals and sources. Also, I find that placing a phaser directly after it in a chain really fattens up the sound. With a high gain distortion, the box feeds back wonderfully when tilted and held at certain angles. As an added bonus this has gotten some of my friends who were not previously interested in noise to try making some of their own.

- this is basically a sturdy plastic box with a contact mic and some metal bits on the inside and a 1/4" output for a cable on the outside. plug it into a couple distortions, an EQ and a delay, and you've got yourself a setup that can produce clattering walls of claustrophobic noise.
- Good Points: + its sturdy, well-built and responsive + ideal sound source for clattering and crashing tones + absolutley brutal through a couple high-gain distortions
