- Getting kind of rare now. I ordered mine from Thailand. I got one from 1983 according to that Boss serial number thing. I think it's a nice sounding chorus. It can be added to tube distortion to make nice rounded tones. You can use it as a signal splitter too which is awesome. It can get a bit metallic but that isn't always negative.
- Good Points: Smooth. Strong. 2 Outputs. (stereo)

- This is an essential piece of my kit, played clean, never with distortion as it sounds dreadful distorted. Clean it's the best chorus I have ever used or heard. It complements my old Arion Delay perfectly. I wouldn't want to lose this one, it's made in Japan as well so excellent quality and virtually noise free. I have used it since 1987.

- I ordered the MIJ off ebay missing a knob for cheap. My amp has a built in chorus that cuts off hi-freqs in the worst way possible. I was in the market for a chorus just because i wanted to see if a real pedal chorus was better than my amp chorus, and i wanted another stereo effect for routing purposes. this fit the bill. looped into itself it just sort of drones, but by default, it winds up being a sound source a lot of the time and proving itself well worth the little cash i spent on it.
- Good Points: Does what it says it does. Built like a sparkly-blue hummer without wheels. bloody cool paint job. stereo outs. different routing options in a two-pos. knob(direct/effected, direct+effected/direct-effected) for abrupt changes.
- Bad Points: when used as intended, it just always reminds me of the intro to "paradise city".... rate knob could go slower.

- I tried a friend's pedal. This is Boss's 80's chorus. It sounds like it. At all settings you sound like the hidious time when all bands used chorus and sounded like this. You can plug the output into the input and make some sounds but it still sounds weak and 80's even then. DOD choruses make much more noise when you abuse them in this way. DOD pedals go completely mad, Boss make a slight humming. As with all Boss chorus pedals it isn't that useful for noise. A chorus patch on any multi effect will do just as well. I hate chorus and this is a chorus pedal of chorus pedals. It's hidious and 80's sounding.
- Good Points: Thickener. Stereo mode.
- Bad Points: 80's a gogo! It's very very outdated nowadays. The CE2 sounded better if you really want a vintage boss chorus. Or a multieffect will do you just as well. Always think: Chorus - do you really have to?
