Both the Seek-Trem and the Seek-Wah
(+ it's sister the Ooh-Wah) are pretty
unbelievable pedals. Very pricey, but
hand made, and pretty unique. It's
essentially an 8-step sequencer that can
be set to run thru 4, 6, or 8. Each of the
8 knobs controls the setting of the Wah
effect for that step. There is a 9th knob
for the rate/tempo.
The Seek-Trem functions exactly the
same, except it is, well.., a Tremelo.
The Ooh-Wah adds a second swith for
Random patterns on the step sequencer.
All three are unbelievable noise tools.
The potential for these things is pretty
sky high. These pedals always remind me
of Boredoms "Vision creation Newsun"
actually. Zvex has pretty good videos on
his site for these. So you can at least
watch them - probably not afford them.
And lastly, I sold the one that I owned -
because I couldn't ever make use of. I
personally needed it to have some sort of
sync or tap tempo to work with my
sound. So if your willing to start your set
with it, or throw it in there as a time
setter. It ends up working out.

Absolutely awesome effect. A bank of filters in such a small package is a god send for stepped noise drones. Each black button adjusts the level of filter applied. Wow. Sonic madness. Crucifies vocals and offers zany counter-rhythms to percussive sample& hold. Too bad it's so expensive. The little pots are cool, though beware of stomping--the little pots look fragile. More of a keyboardist/noise guy or gal tool than a guitarist's.
Good Points: So many useful settings in a small pedal. It's outrageous.
The stepping speed can be slowed to "very spaced out", then sped to "maximum neuroses", plus everything in between.
Bad Points: You have to unscrew a plate to change the battery <?>. No external power IN <??!!?> The stepping can get mechanical if you are looking for a less robotic sound. Pricey, too. The so-so paint job misleads on the effect's sophistication. Stomping could break the settings buttons.
