This is a good entry level drum machine. Nick Zinner from YYYs uses one. I don't really do much programming with it, just use it as a trigger. With MIDI it is a great tool. Also having the bass programs built in it is good for solo work. The pads light up and are also velocity sensitive so you get a few different sounds for each pad.
Good Points: Drums/Bass MIDI Record mode Save Beats 9v so works on boss wall warts.
Bad Points: Tricky to use at times Navigation with the basic screen can be frustrating
