A funny thing is that accidentally, during my very first tests, set an adjustment that goes directly to the tone I was looking for. But, it still have a wide-range of tones. Sound Quality : 10 Let’s split it in three parts: Tone: Using a low-depth set, I got a very smooth chorus, which preserved my guitar tone. Nothing really 80’s (I have nothing against the music from these years, but it’s not the tone I was looking for…). That was smooth, organic and really well defined. Seting up the depth knob about 35%, I got THE tone, which is the sound of Metallica’s Nothing Else Matters in S&M album (when I say that I got that tone, I really mean it, since I was looking for a chorus like this for months). The better thing: No metallic sound on this set up, which is great! I tried a bunch of really good pedals (boss, small clones…) and all of them, at these sounds, shows up these little annoying metallic sounds. With Full Throttle Depth (100%), I got a sound quite similar to “Bleedin’ Me”, from same Metallica’s album. That was the main feature that made me choose these pedal, since I wanted to say “Fuck Up” for my guitar tone and play something really weird and full of effects. At this depth, our friend, that mettalic frequencies, shows up. Very smooth, though. I just had to reduce in one hour my amp’s treble knob to exterminate it. (Went from 1:00 position to 12:00 position). One extra test: When it arrived,the horizon wasn’t here yet. So, I test it with my old set up, a Dr drive, a TS808 and the AC-1, plus a fender frontman amp. With the depth set to 30% and Dr’s solo channel and TS turned on, I got something that reminded me Van Halen’s “Why can’t this be love”. I don’t really know, maybe my hears was cheating me… Noise: Noise? What noise? Versatility: I ought be a little conservative with this point, cause I do believe that this is REALLY personal. For me, this unit sounds very versatile. I could change my guitar tone from Every breath you Take to Bleedin’ Me just spinning a knob…

- Analog chorus effect in the vain of the old school effects. Great warmth, lots of effects on tap, not sterile, quiet, and great low end. his is not a clone of any chorus out there (the voodoo lab, the analogman, and many others are clones), and in my opinion sounds better than them.
