  • I have the red & black version. It is red where the above pictured one is yellow and the metal-work is all anodized in black. I agree with most of the previous poster's comments except that mine is totally silent when switching. They may have made some changes or the previous reviewer's unit might have an ageing capacitor in there. An electro-harmonix phaser (either the "Small" or "Bad" Stones) have more personality and are definitely more abuseable. The Systech has a lighter touch, which makes for a good contrast.

  • Bad Points: No "really out there" personality. Although it is consistent.

  • This is a really useful two channel phaser. It has a warm sound, though it gets noisy the more "emphasis" you put on it. It's built like a tank and is very reliable. It doesn't have a particularly unique or characteristic sound--but it's a good all-round backup unit to have.
  • Good Points: Very solid. Switchable between two speeds. reliable.
  • Bad Points: Switches are very noisy. No individual emphasis controls
