User Reviews of the Roland Guitar Synthesizer GR-30

This is a dream come true. It took me 20 years, since I first knew about guitar synth to purchase it.
It´s a 4-footswitch pedalboard that delivers 384 synth sounds and can be blended with the guitar. Lots of pro settings, ranging from mix to harmonizing and modulation effects. The guitar notes are converted to synth by GK-2A hexaphonic pickup, installed near the bridge.
There are some cheesy voices, but overall the sound quality is very good. Sometimes is difficult to avoid the so-called ghost notes, but some setup does the trick. IMO, it is more of a challenge and also helps refining my playing techniques and makes me learn harmony from other instruments. : )
Good Points: Good sound quality; stereo; good for its price considering how expensive imported music gear is in Brazil.
Bad Points: Noticeable latency in some sounds in the 6th string; plastic casing; the GK-2A is a bit bulky and it´s difficult to toggle from guitar to synth (requires hard training); complicated for amateur players to setup, because of the extent of options.
