I had an original AF-100 many years ago and it was stolen after a gig. I was heart bvroken as I loved this pedal. The two different fuzz tones were cool but I really used the treble boost more than anything. I used it with my marshall jcm 800 head and what I would do is turn down my treble on the amp just a little so I had a good crunchy sound for non solo playing but used the boost for my solos. It really gave me a michael schenker tone that was a clean distortion with tons of sustain. I have since replaced it with a barge concepts bb-1 clone and it's great! Plus you can now use an ac adaptor with it which you couldn't with the original. I have seen original af-100's out there some going for over 0. Just buy the clone from barge concepts you'll save a ton of money!
Good Points: great range of tones in the fuzz and the boost is also very good and doesn't change your amp tone drastically like some other pedals. It's just a classic!
Bad Points: In the fuzz settings it can be a bit noisey so when not playing you should turn it off otherwise this is just a great pedal!

I was fortunate enough to come by a clone of this pedal. A company called Barge Concepts recently entered the pedal building scene and is offering a comaparble fuzz called the BB-1 (not to be confused with a certain Maestro pedal of yore).
Good Points: Definitely the most brutal non-octave-oriented/muff-ish fuzz I have ever used. Can actually produce slight upper octave harmonics/ring modulation at lower gain levels with the right type of input. Makes a non-gain-based feedback loop sound like hell on earth when used as a filter. Can operate at a variety of voltages (Barge Concepts clone only-do not try this with an original withou consulting with a professional first). The boost function cascades well with octave fuzzes. Both fuzz modes have many strengths. The addition of dual LEDs and a DC jack were marvelous improvements upon the original design.
Bad Points: Tone A is markedly quieter than tone B (mainly because of the mid cut). Large footprint. There is some volume loss when using battery power. Originals are too bloody expensive (buy a clone).

It's a very good pedal. I use it mainly for my noise band. This has incredible amounts of sustain. I sometimes use it throuhg my keyboard, and let me tell you, this sounds like the end of the world. I don't really use the Treble Booster, but the 2 different types of fuzz are great, ones is very bassy and the others sounds like a Metallic saw.
Good Points: -Loads of fuzz
-Nice looking
-Great for feedback
Bad Points: -Only runs on batterys
-Treble Booster is too trebly
-Big
