- I have been looking for an Octavia pedal for 20 years that is useable in a live situation. I have a real Octavia, I have used every thing on the market including Fulltones Ultimate Octave. This pedal blows them all away, even the real Octavia doesnÃÕ always sound great live, but the Rocktron is fantastic.
- Good Points: The pedal remains very full sounding because they also added the lower octave. The pedal has a fairly high output so that when you go into a solo and turn the pedal on the volume does not drop out.
- Bad Points: The only bad point is that I cannot find a manual, however if you know what you are looking for you really don't need a manual. The final bad point is that Rocktron doesnt make these pedals anymore.

- The fuzz on this pedal is loud and raspy. Really angry sounding. The fuzz would be great on its own, but the octave effects push this pedal over the top. The octaves soud like synth tones, and you can dial in one octave up, and two octaves down simultaniously. This will thicken things up nicely. However if the signal put into it is too high or too low the octaves aren't going to apear. Yes it's sad but true, but this pedal was designed with a guitar in mind. But no matter, it still cranks out a righteous noise, particularly when you use the "mod" knob. This knob modulates the octaves back in and out, and in the case of my pedal the modulation is semi random. No sine wave here. Perhaps mine is broken, but I'm not complaining. The only real complaint I have about this pedal is that the knobs aren't ver responsive. Some of them seem to be either on or off with no range in between. Even so, it's a fine noise box.
- Good Points: Harsh distortion. Thick, buzzy, video game sounding octaves. Semi random modulation of the octaves (could just be lousy tracking).
- Bad Points: Knobs don't have a lot of range.
