I used one of these for quite a while for live work as a signal booster into a Boss Metal Zone and was quite happy with it. It's nothing to get excited about in a noise context on it's own but it can be a nice partner to other pedals.
Good Points: Tough build, plays well with others.
Bad Points: Rather weak sound on its own for noise (much more of a guitarists pedal), can be pricey.

Nothing special, kind of pricey (new at least) for what it does. The distortion is pretty tame, although the output boost isn't half bad. I would skip it if I had to make the choice again.

This was one of my first pedals back
when I was in middle school. I kept it up
until last year (14 years). I never used it
at all, except for when I was in middle
school. It does an alright job at lighter
ditortion, but once you get higher up on
the dial this thing sounds pretty weak. A
little less impressive than the Boss DS-1
even. Actually the trebles seemed to be
boosted quit a bit, so could be good for
doing some high end scree...? Any ways I
sold it for more than I paid for it to a guy
who plays noodles on the guitar.
