- Interesting, unique, not easy to control. Despite the lack of knobs, you can still get some sounds out of this thing that you can't get anywhere else.
- Good Points: Small (at least in the version I got.) Really deep low end (I prefer high end myself, but this is still great.) Thick fuzz, random twitches to the sound give great texture to a chain or loop.
- Bad Points: The mix signal only mixes with the dry, it would be nice if they could add fuzz and twitches to a normal pitched signal or even give an upper octave option. No battery option.

- unique to say the least. i have a later version with knobs on top and a weird splatter/drip paint job. the paint job is my beef with the unit. no instructions and no identification of the knobs. so in my pedal chain where it currently sits, it does a bizzare fuzz/filter/lo-fi/8-bit effect. kinda different than what i thought it would do. then again because nothing's labeled maybe i'm not using it right. i also think that it might benefit from a non-continous noise source as i feed it with a snb
- Good Points: nothin comes close really to sounding like it from what i can tell. trippy paint job
- Bad Points: trippy paint job should come with basic instructions for controls

- You want the sound of a thousand crickets escaping from a mental institution? Then the pedal is for you. See the previous reviews for a pedal description or go to midfielectronics.com for a sound sample. Other points of note: 1) It sustains really well. 2) It does things that are hard to do twice 3) Great for endless laughter
- Good Points: Sounds like nothing else out there. Makes insane amounts of noise easily. Quite interactive controls and flexibility
- Bad Points: Seems like a linear potentiometer on the volume knob. Most of the output gain is within the first 10% of the potentiometer's travel.

- pretty awesome pedal. can do some interesting effects including a vicious fuzz, 2 octaves down shift, fuzz gating, weird pitch tracking, mono synth basslines and way more. 3 knobs are ?- volume/mix?, octave mix?, pitch tracking...hard to say for sure exactly.
- Good Points: solid construction unique sounds loud as crap
- Bad Points: if you get lower in pitch than a certain point, it jumps octaves up...this can be interesting, though. volume/mix knob has very small range

- I was interested in adding one of these to my arsenal for quite some time. As fate would have it, the builder was strapped for cash recently and cut me a great deal. So far, I have been impressed by both the unadorned fuzz sound and octave-drenched possiblities.
- Good Points: It can emulate almost all of the glitchy suboctave fuzz textures possible with an MXR Blue Box or DOD FX33 Buzz Box and much, much more ... all without unwanted noise and/or any sort of volume drop (if it is placed properly). Also, as the previous reviewer indicated, it is incredibly responsive to the nuances of whatever is fed into its input ... and can become even more deranged sounding when preceded by a pitch shifter.
- Bad Points: Battery Power only (on mine, anyway ... Mid-Fi actually offers a DC jack option upon request). No LED, so it will be difficult to know when the battery is going ... especially given the glitchy/noisy nature of the pedal. The tracking can be difficult to judge/fine-tune at times when using the octave.

- This is a truly amazing fuzz... if you can still call it that after all it does. It sounds something like a Fuzz Factory but with all sorts of added craziness. It has 3 flavors: 1) a "dry" fuzz mode that can be blended with either 2) 8-bit-sounding "two-octave-down bass," or with 3) a "random arpeggiator" mode. This thing has a great variety of sounds, and is VERY responsive to what you feed into it. Not in a metal guitarist "ooh, my rack processors are so silky smooth!" sense. What I mean is that you'll find huge walls of noise mind-blowingly easy to shape instantaneously. Seriously, if you find this limited as a fuzz, you probably live on the surface of the sun. If you want a crazy sounding fuzz that can do much more than the rest, check this out.
- Good Points: Solid construction, top quality components, low battery drain, VERY quiet noise gate (like you care). Just listen to the sound sample already!
