An excellent sounding distortion pedal that includes a 3 band equalizer. By playing with the EQ settings, it's possible to get a wide range of distorted sounds. The Fireblade series of pedals are billed as Maxon's "affordable" line of effect pedals but unlike other cheapy pedals (i.e. Arion, RockTek) this pedal does, in fact, provide some great distortion for your money.
Good Points: The three band EQ.
Bad Points: Cheap plastic case. (does it matter if your not stepping on it?!) Though I've had it since 1994 and it's still in great condition. The knobs are close together and hard to twist in a live situation.
