- This pedal is actually pretty useful as a front end for contact mic'd stuff. Ganged together with a EQ pedal I find it almost perfect.
- Good Points: The ability to have cleanish boost or distortion is great. The clean boost is a lot hotter than the distortion which is useful for layering over stuff over a distorted loop. The distortion is just about perfect for contact mic'd stuff.
- Bad Points: The level mismatch between clean and distorted will not be to everyone's taste. Mine has a sketchy switch.

- This Marshall BB-2 pedal is definitely a hot overdrive, not the usual type as it seems to have more saturation. If your a 6-stringer this is well worth the money, the tonal range is decent, theres plenty of drive and it also has a great seperate clean boost (the tone & drive have no effect on this) which almost doubles your signal without colouring the tone. Like i said though it sits inbetween two camps; overdrive & distortion.
- Good Points: Small, bargain price, its two pedals in one, that clean booster, indestructable.

- Like spiff said, this thing isn't worth a glance for noise. Unless it's in boost mode, it pretty much does little besides suck all the volume out of the input signal whilst providing a slight amount of overdrive.

- Bad Points: sucks volume like none other weak sauce overdrive I bought it

- If you think about getting this for noise, forget about it. In boost mode, you can boost things with the volume knob. But there just not enough output to really get anywhere. The distortion is at most an overdrive, not as creamy as what it is supposed to model. I couldn't get much noise out of this one.
- Good Points: - very solid construction - potis are pretty safe due to the construction
- Bad Points: - lack of character in the distortion - lack of volume to boost anything
