- i guess it was the popularity from guitarists that made me want a tubescreamer, or the fact that they go for more money than i like to pay for unknown pedals, but i figured i had to try one. This version is a mild overdrive housed in the legendary cheap plastic, soundtank format. The tubescreamer has controls for Level, Tone and Distortion. It might be real great at overdriving tube amps for your guitar, but it's real lackluster in amplifying contact mic'd anything, and it's certainly not brutal. Forget a feedback loop, unless of course you like the silliness of most distortions in a feedback loop, very few distortions have the bite for a feedback loop, and this is not one of them. i realize i picked up the cheapest option for a tube screamer. This very well could have been my downfall. but i guess my mistake is your gain. Just Stay away from this one. maybe one of the others? Either way that's for you to regret later.

- purchased new as a test sample in musicalinstrument shop, so it had only 2 of 4 screws underside and sold soleily without any manual or box for approx. . 3 knobs/lev-ton-dis, in and out, supply jack or battery operation, non-true bypass switch, red led indicator diode
- Good Points: valve sounds from lightly crunched to angus young tide beautiful marshallish,suits many styles and guitars,variability, also good to drive tube amp with that,small sized,low price,
- Bad Points: plastic housing seems to be not durable as the metal ones,problems with connectors(i had cold link on supply and input jack, so had to solder it through again,switch problems-iŽ´ve seen 3 of these ladybirds got a problem with switch)
