It has a lot of midrange and compression. Emitting chords brightly. Tones won't blur when roll back the guitar volume. I love it as distortion-flavored TS and improver for solid-state amps.
I don't recommend it for heaviness, modernness and shredding.
Good Points: Well-balanced. Not offensive. Top is not harsh. Bottom is not swelled.
(I never turn the distortion nob above 2 o'clock.)

Well crap. Picked this up very cheaply and I guess there is a reason for that. This is one of those pedals where you scratch your head and think, "who approved this?" Distortion is usually synonymous with gain. This pedal is anti-gain with a huge level drop when engaged which means that you need to follow it with a compressor or something similar that will squash the signal to use it at all is most setups. The distortion knob unfortunately behaves a lot like the level knob meaning that it is not all that useful as a gentle overdrive even. The distortion is extremely tame and not all that great sounding. So if you want a pedal that sucks your signal away then this is it.
Good Points: The switch is very responsive which means you could potentially use the level drop as a dynamics control for quick bursts (the pedal engaged would be like a lofi switch).
Bad Points: Terrible level matching (engaged distortion should not make your signal quieter).
VERY weak distortion with hardly any gain.
VERY weak tone / filter.
Distortion control behaves more like a level control in most circumstances.

Adds harshness to my chain of pedals but sad to say...it eats up the signal. But if used as a bass distortion, it really bring out this monster of a tone...So, what happened is that i bought this pedal for my bassist to use.nuff said.. hey..got it for P1k..(roughly )
Good Points: good bass distortion
Bad Points: eats up signal, consumes too much battery life in one gig..
