Make any sound speak! Simply plug in a microphone to use the built in oscillator for the classic vocoder voice. Or combine any two signals to create human-like, 'intergalactic' sounds. How about using the WarpFactory to morph a signal with a keyboard for intense organic synth sounds. Combine our built in oscillator with vocals to produce "intergalactic" vocoder voices. Make your own noise sounds by using effect pedals and squelching it through the vocoder. Make the synthetic sound organic and the organic sound robotic. Experimentation is what it's all about. Feeling misunderstood? 24 intelligent filter bands go beyond the old fixed band vocoders, delivering incredible sound clarity and ease of use. MIDI controlled vocoding, so you can automate and sequence every single control setting and movement. Plug N' Play Our front panel mic input and built in oscillator equals plug n' play vocoding. Looking for a sex change? The Gender control changes the harmonic content of your formant. Bend from male to female without affecting the pitch. More Variety. WarpFactory can quickly achieve anything from classic vocoder sounds to warbling organic transformations to voice controlled "Filter" sweeps. Ess on and Ess off instantly allows you to have crystal clear sibilance for intelligible vocals or no sibilance at all for a smoother more synthesized sound. Out of breath yet? Formant freeze captures your sounds so you can sustain your signal forever. Low-pass and high-pass filters optimize the signal for voice or non-voice inputs. A Mic bypass on the back panel allows you to toggle between effected and unaffected vocals.

  • This is an awesome piece. for the price not much else competes with it. some-what vocorder but more of a insane ring-modulator. its so freakin verstile if your involved in any sort of expeiremental music should probably own one. the reviews covered the bases pretty well. i'm telling you now someday some yahoo in a rock band or someshit going to list this device as a key to his rig and people going nuts for them. if the friggin akai deep impact can sky rocket anything can and this should as its truly unique in function.
  • Good Points: Super verstile ring-modding noise maker internal psu's kinda nice for a change strong build / quality knobs
  • Bad Points: uhhh not really..

  • This box is fucking killer and carries my highest recommendation for noise and all-out mangling. The large pumice-made ridged knobs elicit a lust for tweaking. The momentary "freeze" button is awesome: engage and let it keep the signal going, then both your hands are free once again to manipulate controls. Built-in robot oscillator is a great touch. With just a little processing, I've achieved mono bass-synth results. "Gender", "Q", and "Order" will obliterate your signal... and a knob dedicated to built-in harsh white noise?? How fucking cool is that?!? Several different routing options reside to use the osc, auto-mangle, ess on/off, etc. This one sure is a Warp Factory. Like their Filter Factory, I bought this one back when they were new and going for three-hundred. I sold a while back, but this is so fucking dope that I'll be getting another real soon. The digital space demons are already on the horizon...
  • Good Points: vocoder so its very flexible (warp anything!), interface, all-metal construction, knobs, freeze switch, front-panel XLR jack, mic gain knob, supreme mangling possibilities!
  • Bad Points: power switch on back, company no longer in business, mic gain could be more responsive, maybe an extra "timbre" knob for the oscillator or noise generator? (or maybe I'm being too needy)

  • I've recorded three noise albums with this thing so far. It's wicked. We'll run it through a guitar amp and turn on the distortion and fiddle with the robot knob and all the warp controls while giggling like little girls into the microphone. It has a great interface, just knobs, which is perfect for use as a noise instrument. It's even a white noise generator with built in effects! All this in addition to being the greatest vocoder ever made. You can put anything into this thing and it'll sound great.
  • Good Points: Sounds great, 2 crazy oscillators, a noise-friendly interface, infinite weird possibilities.
  • Bad Points: none really, an all around great purchase.

  • This truly is a "Warp Factory." The coolest part about this is you can plug one sound source into the 'Source' (either stereo 1/4" or stereo RCA) and set the front panel to 'AUTO' and the sound singal will become the Source and the Formant, completely warping the hell out of the sound. As well, you can turn on the 'Robot Pitch' (built in oscillator) for added effect, great for droning metallic/robot sounds. As well, this can be used in the traditional vocoder manner with any input source or formant. It even has an XLR jack on the front! And for all you MIDI junkies, this thing is fully MIDI capable. Oh yeah, it has High pass/Low pass option as well.
  • Good Points: Creates incredible and unique sounds with an enormous amount of possibilities for connections and routing flow. Designed to be used as an instrument, so it's aesthetically pleasing to work with and produces the sounds to match.
  • Bad Points: Adds a slight bit of noise and the power switch is on the back.
