- Great delay, infinite repeat is a nice way to generate a soundscape. This unit will kill a new 9 volt in under an hour and a half of use. The delay signal is very quiet when the battery is low. My unit tends to generate a quiet pitch when in infinite delay mode.
- Good Points: cheap infinite delay good range of sounds
- Bad Points: kills batteries, not a 9v power adapter pedal, not that quiet.

- Other sampler/delay pedals seem to have eclipsed this one, but used, the DFX 94 is agood value for your money and gets the same tripped out delays that you would expect from some Boss models. The infinite repeat mode is great for generating pulsating loops of whatever you send in, and the tempo control you get by using the delay knob is a lot more intuitive than any tap tempo nonsense like on the Boss Loopstation . The delay times and repeat numbers are generious enough to create a great ping pong ball effect. The major downside to this pedal is it's weakness compared to the original signal (thus it is not particularly useful in a feedback loop). In order for it to be particularly prominant, the effect level must be set very high.

- A very solid delay that I like for its variety of modes. The 4-second delay is of course very nice, and all the delays can get some pretty interesting effects by twisting the knobs around like crazy -- nothing too cheesy. But the infinite repeat is where this thing really wins out, especially since you can layer different sounds into it in sort of the same way as overdubbing into the sampler -- great for getting a drone going or ramming home a nice obnoxious shard of noise. I haven't used the sampler much, but I can see how I might want to use it that way down the line, just record something particularly vicious & trigger it into the mix at well. You can also get some really neat rhythmic effects out of this, especially with voice or contact mic.
- Good Points: variety of modes & uses, good-sounding delay, infinite repeat is incredible.
- Bad Points: old-style power jack on mine can be a little finicky in a Godlyke chain w/ newer pedals. switching between delay times sometimes results in a short pause.

- with 4 secs of delay this thing will add some nice layers, and like the previous reviewer said, you can forget what got sent through there at moments. in a feedback loop it sounds like its drowned out by any high gainy distorted blasts...but then you realize its just setting those up for the next round to layer ontop of the next set of noises you want to pump throgh. the sampling section works nicely, and is relatively intuitive if youve used a pedal sampler before. i find it works best on the more "quite" parts in my noisings, but all in all this is a great pedal.
- Good Points: solid construction and good sound...
- Bad Points: not as cool when switching modes, like the arion delay/sampler, since it tends to take a sec too long to switch, but with longer delay than the arion, it makes up for that...

- finally snagged one of these things used from noisefx.com, and when it arrived i musta played with it for a good 3 hours straight.. 4 seconds of delay! by the time it loops, i've forgotten what i sent into it! killer sampling functions enable to you trigger it by hitting the on/off switch.. operation is a little different than the DFX9 in than you've gotta turn a knob to get it to infinite repeat instead of hitting the switch to go from regular delay to infinite repeat. sounds great for a sampling delay, a lot cleaner than my PDS1002.
- Good Points: 4 seconds of sampling delay! trigger function! 4 knobs! weird green paint job! fancy font!
- Bad Points: as with EVERY DOD sampling delay I own, the output level is totally weak & can be killed by loud input.

- One of my favorite pedals in my set-up and most used. Got this as a gift YEARS ago and fell in love with it. The 4 seconds of delay and the sampling mode is worth the price alone! Don't know if you can still find these around and the Digitech Digiverb has more features than this nowadays. But still a great pedal to pick up of you ever come across one!

- One fact makes this pedal a god on my pedal board - 4 SECONDS OF DELAY!.. Plus it has a high sampling rate, no signal degridation... This thing is sooo damn good I want 2, and at the price they go for used sometimes I could do it! You can creat some damn cool drones and awkward noises... Definately my favorite delay in my setup, and I have 5 delays... great freaking stomp box...

- Really not a bad pedal. Similar to the larger Digitech PDS series, this pedal is crammed with the 4 second delay sampling time. Has 4 trim pots on in the inside to change the clock speed and decay time, definately fun to play with to get some crazy feedback sounds.
- Good Points: 4 seconds of delay time is always a plus, better than the usual 1 second that you get with some of the other pedals.
- Bad Points: Like the previous poster, the input level usually drowns out the signal which can be very detrimental, generally used in my lineup as a sampler, let it loop a particular sound, then remove the input jack so nothing floods out the sound.. can be a pain but nothing that cant be solved.

- DOD's DFX94 is similar in function to the PDS 8000 except in a single pedal design and w/ half the maximum delay time - ranges from 250ms to 4 sec. There are also infinite repeat and sample record and trigger modes. You can get loops going in the inf. rpt. mode and slow them down to a low pitched rumble, w/ the sampler you can record a phrase and play it back each time you hit the footswitch, some interesting sounds can be made by repeatedly hitting the switch and adjusting the delay speed control. What this pedal lacks is a mix control, it does allow you to mix in the delay effect WITH the "clean" signal, but at times, if the input signal is fairly loud, the effect (loop or sample) is overpowered - this tends to happen alot. Another thing about the PDS series I miss on this pedal is the bypass function, to do the same w/ the DFX94 requires you to turn the level all the way down. An all around decent delay, but I'll hold on to my PDS 20/20 Multi Play.
- Good Points: Similar functions to PDS series - inf. repeat, sampling mode. Max 4 sec. delay.
- Bad Points: Input signal can overpower effect - no mix control. Also have experienced a fair amount of signal loss w/ pedal on.
