Boss Modified Distortion DS-1
In it's original factory fresh form, the Boss Distortion DS-1 isn't the greatest of all distortion pedals. Take one of these an modify the crap out of it and you can get a sick over the top sound from this otherwise boring distortion pedal!

- its true. this pedal sucks. but i added 3 switches to it and wham! instant usability. i gotta say on its own its good for getting 'clean' scraping sounds from a contact mic. but after i bent this sucker it can do some great choping effects, self oscillate, and just plain go ape sh!t. also the low end really comes out on some of these mods. i found plans here: http://www.geocities.com/overdrivespider/DS1/dsmods.htm
