  • I got this off ebay because i needed a phaser for vocals. If you're looking for the classic PE phased vocals this will do the trick perfectly. The great thing about this pedal is that you can open it and mess with two internal trimpots to intensify the sound. Crank them all the way up and it will self oscillate quite nicely, giving high pitched bird calls and mid-rang warbles. Adjust them just a little and it will make the phaser meaner and noiser. Just perfect for what I wanted, with the bonus of being a sweet little noise pedal with very minimal modding. I traded it in a deal to good to pass up, but I'll definitely get another when I have the extra cash.
  • Good Points: cheap good phaser that can be modded into a little noise box.
  • Bad Points: cheaply made, hums when using a 1spot adapter.

  • Once again I picked up some behrenger style shit for ass cheap. 30 bones for this thing, it's a handy little phaser. This box can create loud sweeps , it seems to give the rest of my loop a little boost when i engage it. I usually use it to create a base for my noise , and violent pulse underneath all the noisewash. Overall you could do a lot worse or the 30 bucks i spent on this thing.
  • Good Points: Handy in feedback loops seems to give a volume boost two different effects available via the cheesmo switch it's a cheap phaser what else do you want, you can find it on Ebay for 16 bucks new.
  • Bad Points: plastic case kinda looks like ass don't know how long it will last but it's been 8 months already because of all the people buying these things the retailer raised the price to 50 bucks , which is b.s.......oh well no more cheap pedals from them. Ebay here i come!!!

  • This box somehow "hums" my signal, while everyone were bitchin about it, I can be pleased by it. Strange wurly wobbly noises can be made by this box.

  • I bought this bad little blue box because the only phasing options I have are on my cheesy DigiTech Genesis 1. It sounds ok, but is not reliable or rugged enough for live use...or even to keep on the floor where it may get sqaushed. It looks like I overpaid at the retail shop where I bought it, compared to online prices, but with shipping it evens out. It came with a 9 volt installed, weird and the wrong instruction pamphlet for Behringer's compressor pedal. It looks like they are able to market these cheaply by putting them on a cardstock back with a plastic bubble cover stapled lazily to the card, paperwork hand-stuffed inside. The earlier 'new' behringer pedals looked like Boss clones, as you can see from the pic above, they changed the design slightly probably to avoid legal action. The UP-100 is lightweight and seems durable, you must press in 2 spring loaded pins on the pedal hinge to release the battery cover, which is odd, but quick enough. I didn't even bother to play the test sample at the store, I wanted to truly experiment with a random pedal's sound on my various cheap gear. Sound is clean and clear and the knobs are decently placed and do their fuction well. For noise/experimental guitar I cranked all knobs extreme right, threw on some cheap crunchy distortion and produced a wobbly wall of noise that sent my 4 cats running for cover! I applaud Behringer for making an entry level pedal this cheap and maintaining some quality. I like the fact that I will probably really abuse this pedal and misuse it for noise. I think the Behringer UP-100 is up to the task. They state that it's 2 phasers in one, modeled after legendary models, they don't say which and I'm not versed enough to guess, but it sounds good. I put a detuned squier through the UP-100 and mashed out a wiggly wall of sound with the 'rate' knob on 'Max'. This pedal would be fun for messing around with keys and synths to, for noisemaking purposes. The body of the pedal is a decently heavy plastic that imitates the look of Boss' classic pedals, the UP-100 is an attractive medium blue color. Go get one of these for your collection, run a cheap mic through it and scream out your frustrations, use a crummy amp with scratchy pots. Loads of chaotic fun!
  • Good Points: Inexpensive and competes with the Big 'Boss' Boys * Rugged enough construction, (we'll see)* Mine came with a battery * 2-mode switch, with differing sound qualities * Pretty blue color * Behringer's 1 year warranty *
  • Bad Points: Connection not noisy enough, surprisingly quiet and clean switching. I was looking forward to lots of low-quality hum and buzz. Also, you get what you pay for. This is a great device for the low retail but time will tell how long it will last. Based on my experience though, I'd buy other pedals in this series based on price and overall comparitive quality.
