Ok, just a compressor, does its job fairly well but needs to be moddded to get your low end back as its input filter cuts the low wend at 338hz and this is very noticable on guitar.
Adding a 0.1uf cap in parralel with the non-electrolytic capacitor on the board will drop the cutoff to 108hz or so and gives the guitar its bottom end back. A larger cap value to say 1uf then you'll drop the cutoff to below 20hz.
Good Points: Cheap but housed in a box made of metal, easily modified. Does what a good compressor should.
Bad Points: low cut can be harsh apparently boosting the top end.
