surprisingly handy noise gate. decently responsive side chain is great for rhythmic noise stuff e.g. at the end of a chain of cascaded distortion pedals.
Good Points: nice and quick gate response. side chain responds to a wide range of audio signals. relatively normal power supply for alesis !
Bad Points: output a little quiet (no make-up gain after the gate envelope has done it's job) - maybe loses a few dynamics to my ears on some signals - but can be counteracted with i/p gain on a mixer.
